Firstly goto Settings -> General, and make sure your website is set to https, something like this.

In this example, I made sure that it said https:// in both cases and not http://

Setting Up

The following screen may appear.

Click on Activate SSL or go to Settings -> SSL.
This should take you to the Dashboard for SSL:

We will work our way to FIX your website.
Please note that some of the features we turn off could impact the use of your website as an administrator. If this happens, you are using vulnerable services, and we need to find a better way to keep you safe.

General

These are the settings that we generally use unless other issues come to the fore.

Hardening

Only turn on the first hardening option, Disable “anyone can register” if you do not offer subscriptions or allow people to open an account to comment. In my case, on my website https://learn.ywam.life I obviously want people to be able to register and buy courses.

I have turned on all the other options.

It is possible the ‘Disable XML-RPC’ will break your website. Some templates use this to communicate with your website. This is not particularly good practice. I use Divi for all my websites, and this is not an issue.

At the bottom of your screen, click on Save and Continue.
