WordPress is a CRM [Content Management System].
It manages all the tricky bits of having a website.

These first few lessons are just for you to read to get an overview of WordPress.

https://wordpress.org  has created WordPress, and as Open Source Software is free. I install the software on your website, and then we use the Admin Dashboard to build all the parts like Lego.

https://wordpress.com is WordPress’s host service that you have to pay for. You are not paying for the software. You will be paying for the hosting with me.

For this project, you will be building your website on our server. We want to work with you to create a viable website for your YWAM base or as YWAM staff. We want to get you to a place where the website works for you; it brings in prayer support, partners, and backers. We want you to be in a place where, from your surplus, you can help pay for your website’s costs. For this reason, we will talk later about paying what you can.

We have been running web hosting servers for over thirteen years. Our current servers live inside Google Cloud, where we manage them entirely, not Google.
